Washington Photo Safari
If you enjoy taking pictures, you've come to the right city! Washington DC, - with its historic buildings, monuments, memorials, and museums - is one of the most photogenic cities in the world. And you can be guided to all the best photo op locations by local professional photographer E. David Luria, whose images of the nation's capital appear on more than 80 postcards and guidebooks sold in the area.

Mr. Luria owns and operates the DC area's oldest and largest provider of photography training field trips, the Washington Photo Safari, offering 3-4 photo excursions every week, all year long, rain or shine, to photographers at any skill level with any kind of camera, film or digital. Over 6,000 visitors to Washington DC have participated in Washington Photo Safari's half-day and full-day photo workshops, which range in price from $49 to $149. Special safaris are also available in nighttime shooting, digital photography, how to photograph works of art inside museums without flash or tripod, candid photography of children, and many other topics.

Their most popular safari is known as "Monuments and Memorials, " conducted every Wednesday and Saturday, in half-day ($69) or full-day ($119) segments. It includes a 35-minute orientation on the techniques of travel photography, followed by hands-on photo instruction in Lafeyette Park, at the White House, the Lincoln, Vietnam and Korea Memorials, and at Union Station where yo will learn to do interior photography without flash. The Wednesday afternoon segment includes the colorful Adams-Morgan district, the Washington National Cathedral, and the Iwo Jima Memorial.

Washington Photo Safari, founded in 1999, is a member of the Washington DC Convention and Tourism Corporation. E. David Luria is a member of the American Society of Media Photographers and Charter Member of the Association of Independent Architectural Photographers.
